It will be a night to remember when Youth Pictures of Florence Henderson release their second album January 23. Their self titled follow-up to 2005’s “Unnoticeable in a tiny town, invisible in the city” sees the band perfect what they already did outstandingly well on their debut: Long, dreamy, climactic post-rock. And this time they even sing a little!

The album is in fact a double album, and it’s destined to be one of the most spectacular releases of the year: Eight songs on two discs packed in a remarkable 32 page book (not booklet!) by Bergen-based artists Hans Hansen and Hanne Grieg Hermansen. The album will be on sale for only 150 NOK, so get one while they last!

An evening of festivities is of course nothing without friends. Joining YP next Saturday are electronica-madmen Beneva vs. Clark Nova, electronica-madman Captain Credible and The Little Hands of Asphalt, who might not be madly into electronica, but he’s still Norway’s most exciting singer/songwriter.
